Thank you to all who braved the frigid temperature to come to the 2019 Sanctity of Human Life service today.
We were challenged by Fr. Brian Dudzinski to stand up for life; encouraged by Pastor Lynn Coleman to walk alongside those in crisis pregnancies and be a support to them; and reminded by Pastor Michael Rogers to stand with those who have been wounded by abortion, not in judgement, but in encouragement and hope. Elizabeth Marden read her 2018 First Place essay and gave us hope that the younger generation will carry this torch of cherishing and supporting the pro-life cause. HCRTL President David Bangs shared the reality of the demonic battle we are fighting by reviewing the horrors of the Reproductive Health Act just passed in New York this past week, as well as the promising good news that this year’s General Assembly will have a Protection of Life Bill, HB 1430 on the schedule! Also, the Supreme Court is considering hearing the “Dignity for the Unborn Law” which was passed by then Governor Pence in 2016, yet overturned by a District Court Judge. We must stay vigilant, he said, and speak out to our legislators! After a march through the snow and ice carrying our “Jesus Forgives & Heals”, “Abortion Kills Children”, “Adoption is a Loving Choice” and “Pray for our Nation” signs, we stopped at the Courthouse steps, where Pastor Keith Treadway closed in prayer, reminding us that Abraham asked God to spare his city if but 10 people would follow God….and we are those people today that need to carry that mantle, both in prayer and in action. “If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will heal their land.” II Chronicles 7:14.
